Connected piezometer
DIEGO
EDF Hyrdo and its engineers study and develop evolved connected devices to precisely measure and communicate terrain data. The main goal is to increase the quantity and quality of statements.
EDF Hydro relied on PHI DESIGN’s savoir-faire, specialized in product creation and engineering to develop the hardware parts.

PHI DESIGN nimbly worked in synergy with EDF Hydro’s project team.
Together, we first defined the device’s specifications:
Together, we first defined the device’s specifications:
- Electronical performances and communication with their constraints
- Mechanical performances linked with the environment
- Ergonomics to ease the installation, the usage and the maintenance
Based on these objectives, we applied our unique savoir-faire all the way through production launch of this new sensor device called DIEGO.
PHI DESIGN went from concept study, design study and mechanical conception study, to prototyping, tests, optimization and industrialization.
With our PHI FabLab, we were able to do the first batch of DIEGOs (fabrication, assembling, etc)
This project was urgent, and we managed to realize everything in 6 months!
EDF Hydro also entrust PHI DESIGN to assemble the final products, with electronic integration, probe wiring, implementation of components and logistics.
One year after the first deployment, EDF Hydro is totally satisfied with PHI DESIGN’s performance and launch the development of new DIEGO declinations.
